What are the materials and grades of hot-dip galvanizing?

2024-04-10

A regular hexagonal nut is made by increasing the thread size (usually 50-80um), and then undergoing hot-dip galvanizing surface treatment to become a hot-dip galvanized nut. Power line fittings generally use hot-dip galvanized nuts with strength grades of 4, 6, and 8 according to specific engineering projects.

The general materials for hot-dip galvanized nuts are Q235B, 35K, 45 #, 35CrMo, etc. Different grades of products are selected according to engineering requirements. For general ultra-high voltage lines, high-grade nut products such as 35K, 45 #, and 35CrMo are preferred.
